Emily Procter

 Emily Mallory Procter (born October 8 1998) is an American actress and activist. She played Ainsley Hayes's role in The West Wing, a NBC political drama (2000-2002; 2006), and Det. Calleigh Duquesne on the CBS police procedural drama CSI: Miami (2002-2012).



 



 Childhood and early life



 Procter was born on October 8, 1968. When she was a baby she was adopted by William Procter (a general practitioner) and Barbara Jones (a volunteer worker). Procter was raised in Raleigh, North Carolina. When her parents divorced she was just three years old. old. She is the older sister of Whit and is adopted.



 



 Ravenscroft School was where Procter went to school in Raleigh. While attending East Carolina University, she was a member of the Alpha Delta Pi sorority and was employed as a TV weather anchor at WNCT-TV in Greenville, North Carolina, then graduating with degrees from dancing and journalism.
